The Pennsylvania Economic
Development Partnership is a statewide association of government
entities and businesses - with a focus on the Lancaster County. The
Partnership is a Certified Community Development Entity as
recognized by the US Treasury, and provides access to federal and
state funding for business investments that will create jobs and
result in economic benefit to communities throughout the State of
Pennsylvania.
The Partnership provides
support to both businesses and government agencies.
Support for businesses often
takes the form of funding - significant grants, tax credits, low
interest loans and other financial mechanisms. For example, salable
federal tax credits equal to 39% of a qualified investment are
available. In Pennsylvania, additional discretionary state
incentives may be available as well. Other examples of incentives
for investment include the gift of land and/or buildings, cash
grants, zero interest loans and grants to train
employees.
Support for government
agencies includes grant writing and other funding
sourcing.
